Woman in Gold.
Woman in gold is a the story of Maria
Altaman, who takes on the Austrian government to recover her families heirlooms,
specially a famous painting by the name woman in gold that was painted for her
aunt Adele and was taken by the Nazis who eradicated her family. During the story we see a lot of different figures of speech like symbols, foreshadows, and flashbacks like the symbol of
family that is known as a symbol of unity and support, during the
movie the mention this symbol a lot, Maria always reminds Randy that he is
family, he reminds him about his heritage and this becomes a great factor for
which Randy becomes attached and prioritized by the case. We see the unity and
support randy and Maria have during the movie. On the other hand we foresee
future action with scenes like At the begging of the movie When Maria tells
Randy’s mom she needs a layer she can trust, and at the beginning of the movie
we see that randy starts to help Maria with the case because of the price tag
on the painting, however this scene foreshadows how randy becomes connected
with the case and leaves his job, and makes this his number one priority, Being
the right person Maria could trust that was foreshadowed in the first scene. Most
important figure of speech in the movie are the flashback that g0 through out
the whole story We see a flashback of the Nazis in Marias house, doing inventory
over her family’s stuff, and how the paintings and jewelry was giving to Nazis
generals and their families, and how their families name or last name was
eradicated form the paintings and this is how the Adele’s portrait became the
woman in gold. This is important in the movie because it gives important
information to the spectator and to randy to understand the importance that is
to Maria o get the painting back. Thanks to the use of figurative language, we understand
why Maria
Altman pursued to reclaim her aunts world famous painting that was stolen by
the Nazis during World War II. that She did it not just to recover what was rightfully hers, but
also to obtain justice for the the Nazis actions.
